The Annual Cathedral Ushers Mass & Breakfast will be on Sunday, March 5 th, starting with the 8:00 AM mass and the breakfast to follow at 9:30 AM at the Columns Restaurant. All ushers and spouses are invited and asked to fill out the signup sheet in the church vestibule if they are attending.


Penitential Service- A Lenten penitential service will be held for all members of the parish on Saturday, March 4th. “Youth Service” (open to all ages) at 9:30 AM with confession for youth to follow. 7:00 PM – Evening service for all with private confession for youth. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Lenten Weekly Bible Study – In lieu of a retreat, I have decided to offer a 6-week Lenten Bible Study on Tuesday evenings in Lent. (time TBA) A book will need to be ordered (about a $10 cost) that will be used throughout the 6 weeks. A sign-up sheet is in the vestibule for those interested.
Ecumenical Service – We have been asked to host one of the Ministerial Lenten Services and luncheons on Wednesday April 5th at noon. I ask your help in hosting this event. More details will be forthcoming. Bp. John Mack


The Lenten worship series will begin on Wednesday, March 8th at 12 noon at Faith United Methodist Church, 5505 Broadway, Lancaster. This series is entitled “Living Lent as Easter People” presented by The Lancaster-Depew Ministerium. Guest Speaker will be Deacon Don Watkins. A free will offering or non-perishable food items will be accepted during the service to benefit the Lancaster-Depew Food Bank. A soup & sandwich luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the service.

Congregational Meeting Today!

This afternoon, at 12:15 PM, Holy Mother of the Ro- sary will hold its annual congregational meeting in the Bishop Peplowski Parish Center. Being a member of Holy Mother of the Rosary Cathedral this is your op- portunity to have a say in the administration and up- keep of this parish. Please try to attend this important congregational meeting and exercise your rights as an active and concerned member of this parish.


The Home & Garden Raffle will be held Saturday, March 11th 2017 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM. Admission is $25.00 per person, including food & refreshments. Help support this fundraiser by purchasing a ticket and invite your friends. Grand Prize is a Riding Lawn Mower along with 10 other great prizes. Tickets may be obtained through Christina and Bob Giczkowski 783-9596 or the parish office.


The HMRC Cathedral Seniors are holding an Easter Raffle. 1st Prize - $150.00 Instant Lottery Tickets, 2nd Prize – Wahl’s Chocolate Easter Basket and 3rd Prize – 2 HMRC Fish Fry Gift Certificates. Winner to be drawn Friday, April 7th at 7:00 PM. (need not be present) Donation: $1.00 or 6 for $5.00. Tickets available from Cathedral Seniors and Parish Office.


The Annual 2017 Spring Bus Excursion is sched- uled for Saturday, April 22nd, 2017. Reserve your seat now with Don Barnes. The cost of the trip is $35.00 per person. This includes the Motor Coach Bus Trip, Refreshments on the Bus, Door Prizes, and Players Rewards Credit of $25.00 and $5.00 toward food. Plan on arriving at the Bishop Peplowski Parish Hall by 11:00 AM. The Motor Coach Buses will leave the parking lot at Noon. Don’t forget to bring valid Federal/State Issued ID, i.e. a NYS Drivers License and our Seneca Ni- agara Players Card if you have one. The buses will return around 7:00 PM.

Walk with Jesus

You are invited to walk with Jesus on His way to Calvary every Friday evening during Lent. The Stations of the Cross will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Friday evenings from March 3 rd thru April 7th


The Spring Dance is just around the corner and will be held Saturday, May 13th from 8-12 PM featuring the band “Crash Cadillac!” Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased from Anne Marie @239-1982, Roger @ 683-4046 or the parish office @685-5766. Tickets go fast, so plan on getting them early so that you may attend with your family and friends. This year we will be raffling an Overnight Get-A-Way, which includes Dinner & Breakfast for Two at Russell’s and a stay at the Grand Hotel, a $100.00 Wegmans Gift Card, along with many other prizes to be given away the night of the dance. Donations of gift cards or monetary donations are greatly appreciated.
