Next week’s Ecumenical Lenten worship service is Wednesday, March 29th at Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta, 496 Terrace Blvd., Depew. Speaker Rev. Kirk Langset who will speak on the topic “Praise”. A soup & sandwich luncheon will be served at the conclusion of the service. Free will offerings appreciated.


We will be hosting the April 5th, Ecumenical service and luncheon to be held that Wednesday at noon. We need volunteers to host the event, make soup and desserts for approximately 75 guests. Please contact the parish office if you are interested in hosting and/or to assist with soup/dessert making.
THANK YOU from the Cathedral Youth Assoc. to all who baked, supported & donated to our bake sale last Friday. We made around $300.00. May God bless you.
The Cathedral Youth would like to remind you that the Food Drive for the Lancaster Food Pantry continues until April 8th. Collection box is in the vestibule.
Tickets for $1.00 are still available from the youth of the parish who are raffling off a queen size - yellow & green afghan on Friday March 31st. Please help support future youth activities.
YMS of R Clothing Drive – We came in 2nd in the clothes drive! Which means the 1st place parish - St. Mary’s in Parma, OH were rewarded with the Pizza Party! The good news is that we collected much needed clothing for those in need. Thank you!


A meeting of all parishioners will be held NEXT WEEK at 9:15 AM for the purpose of electing a vice chairman and treasurer for the Parish Committee. All parishioners (in good standing) are eligible for these two positions. Nomination forms are on the table in the vestibule or you may nominate someone (or yourself) from the floor at the meeting. Please verify that the person you nominate is willing to serve. Thank – You!


The HMRC Cathedral Seniors are holding an Easter Raffle. 1st Prize - $150.00 Instant Lottery Tickets, 2nd Prize – Wahl’s Chocolate Easter Basket and 3rd Prize – 2 HMRC Fish Fry Gift Certificates. Winner to be drawn Friday, April 7th at 7:00 PM. (need not be present) Donation: $1.00 or 6 for $5.00. Tickets available from Cathedral Seniors and Parish Office.


The Annual 2017 Spring Bus Excursion is scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd, 2017. Reserve your seat now with Don Barnes. The cost of the trip is $35.00 per person. This includes the Motor Coach Bus Trip, Refreshments on the Bus, Door Prizes, and Players Rewards Credit of $25.00 and $5.00 toward food. Plan on arriving at the Bishop Peplowski Parish Hall by 11:00 AM. The Motor Coach Buses will leave the parking lot at Noon. Don’t forget to bring valid Federal/State Issued ID, i.e. a NYS Driver’s License and our Seneca Niagara Players Card if you have one. The buses will return around 7:00 PM.


The YMS of R will be hosting Towel Bingo on April 30, 2017, yes, you read it correctly, YMS of R will now host the Spring Towel Bingo, with the guidance of The Cathedral Ladies Guild for this April event. They will still need towels donated and new auction items are always appreciated. Thank you for your continued support in our endeavors.

The Spring Dance will be held Saturday, May 13th from 8-12 PM featuring the band “Crash Cadillac!” Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased from Anne @239-1982, Roger @ 683-4046 or the parish office. Bring your friends & family for a night of great fun & music!
-The dance committee is raffling a Dinner for Two at Russell’s & an Overnight Stay at the Grand Hotel, a $100.00 Wegmans Gift Card along with other prizes to be given away the night of the dance @ $1.00 each. For tickets contact Terry Darlak at 864-6578 or the parish office. Donations of gift cards for the event are greatly appreciated. Our next dance committee meeting will be held April 2nd following the 11:00 AM mass in the board room.


The Spring Clergy Conference and Blessing of Oils will be held at HMR Cathedral on Tuesday, April 11th. We invite you to the Mass at 7:00 PM. Three priests will be incardinated into the diocese at the mass as well. There will be a coffee and cake reception in the hall following the mass. We are looking for donations of bake goods for the event. Thank - you!

“The Cathedral Ladies Guild will be hosting a cruise on the Grand Lady on July 30th. The boat will leave from Riverworks on Ganson Street at 1:00 pm and will return at 3:00 pm. There will be hors d’oevres served and an open cash bar available. Cost per person will be $40. We have already been approached by the YMS of R and the Cathedral Seniors, and they will also be paying for their members to set sail. We look forward to them joining us this year.
